The Avant at Hot Import Nights in San Mateo. The Carbon Fiber hood looks pretty cool without being clear coated yet. Plus the Blitz Rims, which are for sale, dont look too bad on the car..

Email me if you want to buy the rims. You'll need to put smaller tires on the rear rims so they clear the inner arm. Blitz Technospeed - 18x8 in the front, 18x9 in the rear.

The rear sub enclosure is made of fiberglass and was painted to match the body color.

The Headunit is in.. the system should be complete tomorrow. Ill have more photos from the carshow tomorrow night.

The Headunit along with the turbo timer.. I believe we are going to flush mount the head unit but for now, it will be like this.

Mad wiring.. the headrest monitor wiring and the fuse goes under the rear seat.

A pic of the bare trunk..

The trunk with the box.. looks small, but we tested it, and it actually hits harder then my 3 phoenix gold 10's. the cover that goes over this is really cool.. we're still deciding on covering it with carbon fiber, to match the hood, or with paint.. (ie. the alpine M3)

NEW! We're actually using all MB Quart Mids and Highs and adding a center channel using the Pioneer 5.1 surround sound system. I also just finished putting in the PS2 inside the center armrest. It fits! It's just a little bigger but im sure it wont be too noticable when the armrest is up. Plus it'll be more ergonomic for the third passenger.. Check out the latest photos.

Brad, of Audiomotions informed me that they decided to use all MB Quart mids and highs. Since they are one of the best, I said, lets roll with it. So, 4 crossovers were put in yesterday along with MB Quart mids and highs. Ill confirm which series we used and post it.

The next phase of this ongoing process is the stereo upgrade.. I thought the stock radio was "pretty cool" and "just fine" until I saw the Pioneer AVX-P7300 DVD [Head Unit] and was amazed at the sound and visual quality it produces.

Much thanks goes out to AudioMotions in San Bruno California for "hooking" my car up.. They're also installing the turbo timer. If you want any stereo stuff in your car, call them up and ask for Brad, the owner.. he's cool..

A shot of the interior being taken apart. The stereo is very hard to take out.. Have a professional do it so you wont have to break it.. Here's a run down at what type of system AudioMotions in San Bruno is going to install in my car..

Pioneer AVX-P7300 DVD [Head Unit]
Pioneer AVM-P8000R Pioneer Steering Wheel Remote
Clarion 6" Monitors (2)

JL Audio 300/4 JL Audio 250/1
JL Audio XR650CS 6.5" XR Series
JL Audio XR650-CX 6.5" Coaxial, 70w
JL Audio 12W3-D2 12" Sub, Dual Voice (or the W6)

Playstation 2

2 - Phoenix Gold ZX400ti - for sale $300
3 - 10" Phoenix Gold Xmax Subs in a box - for sale $200

Here's a shot of the monitors in the head rest. They arent set yet.. but they look pretty cool in there.. The first plan was to put them behind the back of the seat but sitting with your head down hurts.. You see the big hole in the back of the seat? Thats where the PS2 was.. we're still deciding where we are going to permanently put it...

Another shot of the headrest.

A view of the empty trunk.. I wanted the box eliminated cause I was tired of moving it sideways to load stuff in it.. So we came up with a couple of solutions..

1. Put the speakers in the wheelwell and eliminate the spare tire. or..
2. Design something that looks stock but isnt..

Solution: We chose 2 cause nobody wants to get stuck anywhere.. We decided to use the left side of the trunk area and instead of using the 3 10" phoenix gold speakers, I chose to change all the speakers out and put just 1 12" JL sub back there..

I was told that the original bose speakers ran on 2 ohms and we needed everthing to run on 4. So I changed all the mini speakers and door as well..

Another shot of the trunk. See that Phoenix Gold amp? Well, its now for sale.. $300 bucks or cheaper.. It's 400 watts and works well with the 3 10's Phoenix Gold subs that are also for sale for $200 bucks or cheaper.

Email me if you want them..
